View Full Version : Best Domain Support?
Insight 04-13-2006, 09:59 PM Hi. Would you suggest me names of a few domain registrars who have BEST domain support?
* Price<=$15
* Excluding Godaddy (who gives worst support--in my experience) and its sister companies
* Excluding Namecheap (who don't reply emails)
Thank You.
Ryan Smith 04-13-2006, 10:17 PM Its hard to say, however; maybe try Enom.
grandad 04-14-2006, 03:31 AM Enom gives the best reseller features and support - think you are being a bit harsh on GoDaddy.
GigabitONE 04-14-2006, 05:02 AM I'm using directi so far no comment and price is cheap too
petzsch 04-14-2006, 06:16 AM Support Quality differs quite a bit... from 24h till month (technichal issues)
Perhaps you'd have more luck with support at a reseller. They usually have more time for your needs. Are you searching as a reseller or an enduser? :-)
wildbest 04-14-2006, 07:28 AM Try netsol.com.
They have lost many customers during recent years. So, I suppose their Support Team is not too busy right now. :)

Actually, I am an enduser. Will I benefit more If I open a reseller account with a good registrar--if I am going to buy multiple domains?

Interesting. This is just a converse of this statement: "Godaddy has gained many customers during recent years. So their Support Team is too busy. That's why their support is becoming worse."
Try netsol.com.

I enjoyed that one wildbest :) However the op was asking for registrars at <=$15 :)

My experience has been quite the opposite of your's with both these 2 companies. Anyhow, most companies support isn't up to expectations, and oftentimes you need to open a support ticket rather than use email. I've had good experience with MyDomain, a Dotster reseller. It's reasonably priced at $8.50. But I suspect you'll find the support about the same. A reply within 24-48hrs is expected.
Insight 04-15-2006, 12:16 AM Thank you all for your suggestions. I don't like Godaddy any more but I love the interface of Namecheap. I sent an email to Namecheap on April12 and have not got any reply. However, at least Namecheap's representative here in webhostingtalk replied my queries. That's good.
It's comforting to know there is a backup :)
Masud 04-15-2006, 07:06 PM Directi is cool for end users also, you can always obtain a reseller account for your personal use as well
bjstep 04-15-2006, 07:14 PM I have found namecheap to be pretty good as a matter of fact,
but enom is prob the best, of course you have to enter money in $100 lots and you have to get a resellers account
they value their customers alot

I've explained to Insight some of the drawbacks of using free, shared email services. Not receiving emails consistantly is one of them. :)

I find being a reseller helps
it makes them realize that you may purchase many domains, especially owning a hosting business, they realize as you grow, amount of domains will grow proportionately
4solutions 04-15-2006, 07:59 PM However, at least Namecheap's representative here in webhostingtalk replied my queries. That's good.I could be wrong... but I believe enetwork aka Richard IS NameCheap. That is, he owns it.
You can't get much better customer support than that, IMO. ;)

I agree, he has very good support and helps you out :) I haven't had any real problems with namecheap :)
ashokuh 04-15-2006, 10:05 PM go for directi.com, prices are too low and features are good
carlitosway 04-15-2006, 10:16 PM some peope may laugh but register.com has the fastest support I have ever seen
4solutions 04-15-2006, 10:42 PM some peope may laugh but register.com has the fastest support I have ever seenI'm certainly not laughing. I had some dealings with them last year and they were very fast and professional.
But at $35.00 per year, I could throw in a hand car wash and wax at my local provider and still make more money than I'm making now.
There is nothing wrong with providing superior service to those willing to pay a superior price. That's what free enterprise is all about.
Hmmm... maybe I should offer to wash and wax the domain names. ;)
carlitosway 04-15-2006, 10:49 PM for a coupla names they are real good. Phones they be picking up in 10 seconds
