Hi,

I'm using nslookup -d, and when I look for a new subdomain ns1.infinitehosting.co.uk it seems to come back with no answer, but while using other dns servers (inc the root servers), it comes back ok?

Do I need to wait for something, to un-cache? please help! Do you guys get the same message? or does it resolve ok?
TIA,
Neil

ok, could someone please confirm if they can lookup ns2.infinitehosting.co.uk, I seem to be having problems, is it freeparking.co.uk's fault???

TIA

You can actually ask other nameservers on the internet rather than asking people to do it for you. Like this:

root# nslookup
> server ns.netscape.com
Default Server: ns.netscape.com
Address: 198.95.251.10

Now, anything you type after this will be looked up by ns.netscape.com. You can do this for as many nameservers as you can find. Good luck!

thanks for the info bofh, it seems that when I use ns1.ukdnsservers.co.uk, I get the correct information, however when I use ns2.ukdnsservers.co.uk as my server, it returns out of date information!  it even says that ns1.infinitehosting.co.uk is non-existent!?!?

Any ideas anyone?

I've emailed hostmaster@ukdnsservers.co.uk. Will these two servers eventually sync up? or is it down to them to do it?:bawling:
