where are all the options after rare??? what about extinct ;) i like mine barely warm. there merest suggesting it was carried past somewhere warm on the way from the kitchen. i mean herd the cows in, wipe their arses lop off the horns and sit em on a plate :) steak has such a wonderful taste and texture when raw. its nice when cooked but raw is cool. esp aberdeen angus

As long as it's on a plate in front of me (plate optional), I like it. I've had it anywhere from just cut with a hot knife in a nice Paris restaurant to really well done over a campfire in the Rocky Mountains. As long as my mouth is a step along it's journey through the food chain, it's all good.

Mine has to be well done....

I ordered a steak from Chili's a couple of years ago, and ordered it Medium Well..... and I got food poisoning that night (when I was 6 months pregnant with my now 2 year old son).

But ever since then, I ask for them to cook it as long as they can -- burn the darn thing if need be...

I don't eat a lot of red meat anyways... the last time I had steak was at Chili's.... Then again, I never have the $$ to afford steak...

skin it, walk it by the BBQ, slap it on my plate!
