I currently have a reselling account from a friend for $15 usd a month. i have 17 gb storage and 500,000 gb bandwidth per month. I have WHM, and cPanel X etc.... Im trying to figure out how to get clients with out paying more than i make back. I have 1 client, paying me $4 usd per month. ive had my reseller for abuot a week now..mabey a few days more. I am working on a site telling my prices and services etc... i also have a shoutcast reseller from someone else which hes giving me for free in return for site hosting. I just cant seem to find a client.... :(

any recomendations on where to look for clients? thanks anyone for your response.

I don't have any recommendations on where to look for clients as this should have been included in your business plan, which I doubt you even created judging from your post.

I do however have to say that the place you got a reseller from is likely overselling * A LOT *, I would suggest moving to a better provider or even closing down all together.

u mean a rip off? i dont get you...
and your right, i dont have a business plan... although... im working on one... trying to think of what i would do though. i do know, however, that once i get enough money i am going to purchase a deticated server with a friend who also has a reseller atm.

Overselling means that he is giving you way more than he can deliver.

500,000GB costs thousands of dollars.

He is doing this because he knows you won't ever use that much. Heck you might not even be using 2GB a month.

He is overselling on space too.

Right; even 500,000mb is a lot for $15.00 a month, seeming as most servers come with about 2TB (2,000,000mb) and he surely has more than four customers.

No, thats just stupid lmao. I suggest you go to jaguarhosting or somthing, and get a cheap vps. Then sell your own resellers.

not a bad idea blind.. .but i still need a few clients to be able to afford it... its more than $15/mo...

500,000 gigabytes = 1,666 Mbps or so
Most places charge about $40/Mbps unless you go cogent, should be around $10/Mbps
So $10/Mbps * 1,666 Mbps is what... $16,666?
You will never get that much bandwidth.
Maybe he meant 500,000 megabytes which might make little sense...
If he says 500,000gigabytes hes overselling, as I wouldnt doubt he only has 1.5tb of bandwidth available to him @_@

Yeah that makes more sense, but its still overselling, which in most cases is not bad.

Indeed; 500gb for $15, as I said is overselling, unless he maybe owns cogent/level3 or a b/w provider....
