I put a command in an action to be executed at bootup and shutdown. Basically its a mail comments that sends an email to me with the subject "shutdown" or "boot up".

However, when I reboot the server, I never received any email. Is it because the reboot process somehow disconnect the machine from the network? How do I set it up so it will email me before boot up/shutdown?
