Ok now we have to be serious for this.

We all have dreams of what we would like to be when we grow up. For most of us we never realize those dreams, so my question is.

What did you always want to be when you grew up???

For me I wanted to be a drummer in a rock band. I was always good with the drums and had a great natural rhythm. I could never practice because my parent’s house was to small for a drum kit and my dad worked shifts, so it was difficult to get any time behind the kit.

Anyway things turned out ok for me, I’m not up on stage in front of 20,000 people but lol life goes on.

So what did you always want to be?? And did you ever follow that dream.

Cheers

As a young lad....i wanted to be a fighter pilot.

That lasted until i finally figured out that ...you actually DIE when you get nailed with a missile. LOL

What is that saying? "ignorance is bliss"? :D

Ah. The good old days.

So...what am i doing now?

..Busy being a geek. ;)

I always wanted to be a LUMBERJACK!

ok seriously... My first desire was to be an astronaut .. unfortunately at the time i was young enough to have taken the steps neccesary to eventually have a shot at it, there was no way in hell a black man would ever have had a chance.. So I went into special effects instead.

Now I'm a pc/network geek.

I wanted to be an architect actually - even until halfway through highschool. Was studying towards to for quite a while. Got the mad idea then that I wanted to be a psychologist instead and did a year of University, till I decided that wasn't what I wanted to do after all.

... became a webmonkey instead.

Well, lets see, I wanted to be a Ballerina, a Pilot, a lawyer, a Veterinarian......the list goes on. I could never make up my mind, and really, I am still trying to decide. I am planning on going back to school, but I dont know what area of study I would like to pursue....

I'm in High School, my "dream" is to become an entrepreneur. My parents highly oppose of that idea. They'd like me to have a more secure occupation.

Since I entered High School, they've been placing extreme amounts of pressure on me. They'd rather have me excel in school than have any friends, - or even a social life!

I'm not sure what I'll end up doing/becoming. However, I do plan on following my passions. I don't want to take financial income into consideration. I'd rather be staraving poor than to live a life that was never meant for me.

Yep, teaching won't exactly make one rich, however we don't have to chase after people who are shooting at us (errrrr.. at least on a daily basis, hmmm).

When I was growing up I wanted to be a police officer. I thought that had to be the coolest job in the world because you got to carry a gun. Then I found out that a ton more people carry guns and they aren't police officers. Plus after really thinking about the consequences of patrolling the streets, it wasn't for me.

I still watch "Cops" though and picture myself chasing down the criminals. :stickout

I always wanted to fly a plane, like in the movies, realy fast and all over the place. At 17 I took full control of of my first aircraft done several loops, dives, barrel rolls, a few stalls and spent the rest of the time diving between the clouds. A most wonderfull experience, and a dream come true.:D

Seriously though - You always wanted to be one?

I never really wanted to be a fireman or anything like that. Like Alan, I wanted to run a business :pimp:
