Well, I didn't know where to put this, so I put it here.
Any one know where can I find a domain search script or atleast explain to me how it works.

The best one I've seen is a COM component from sloppycode.net
It searches multiple registries, and is very fast. On Xnix, Acewhois is my pick.

This one is an excellent one too:

the problem with those scripts is that they do not query the registry ij real time, but the whois databases. Therefore they are lagging about 15-25 hours, which will probably let someone else snatch the name your looking for while you wait for the whois to update...
I can help you with that, contact me personally through

Sloppy code whois does. It tracks down the central regisrty for any extension you enter. Well, it tries to anyway. It only runs on win servers though. It's the best script of it's kind that I've seen.

I just took a look at that code and they query whois-servers.net and whois.internic.net.
Both are normal whois databases that are updated with a lag of about 20 hours (whois.internic.net is usually the one that updates first of all.).
Its very easy to try for your self, just register a name and see when it gets listed as taken using the script, alternetively track a useless name that drops and see how long it takes til it shows up as available...
Im serious, contact me if you want the real time stuff.
