Here's an interesting one..

While I'm glad that people have been viewing my board pretty regularly.....since it makes the updates done feel worth it.... I find it awfully strange that since I changed the focus of the site, not many people have been posting..

Do you know of any boards that people just browse, and don't post at, or am I one of the few? It's getting kind of lonley and makes me feel I'm talking to myself ;)

Later!

I think all forums have active browsers :) How many members do you have?

According to the main page, 278. And the weirder thing is, you don't have to register to view the board, and about 50% of those have probably never posted. I'm thinking of looking for a script that automatically removes zero posters after a few months of no activity....

When it was NinjaTurtlesNetwork.com, we had lots of activity. Ever since I switched, it just dropped off, and I just don't get it :). We still have the turtle content, but we expanded our coverage into other TV shows, movies, radio and technology. I thought it would increase, not decrease..

I have the same problem. I get tons of traffic as well but no one hardly registers.

Hmm, well, if it dropped off.. Maybe it's a good idea to switch it back? :)

Unless you are getting a substantial amount of new traffic ofcourse, then the posting really doesn't matter much.

You could try posting up some post incentive kind of things. I mean the traffic is there, You just want them to register. Put up prizes and such. Free hosting maybe or even a domain name.

You could also close the board to none registerd, but that may hinder your overall serch engine rankings.

In my opinion the visitors landing to your forum are not the real visitor as the keyword of your forum site does not suggest it is a forum for fun & animation and technology. I think relevant keyword and domain name can pull out the real visitors through SE those who actually search on those categories. :peace:
