Hello,

Is there anything akin to a linux single floppy install that can be installed into a very small partiton on a remote HD, which can be booted into from lilo, and allow remote access to a server via telnet or ssh, so i could blow out the other partitions, and install another OS or something? Or am i just dreaming?

I guess you can install coyotelinux (a lrp kind of distro on floppy) on a hard drive partition. Pretty small distro (one floppy) that, IIRC, can include telnet access. Unfortunately, I have no experience with installing it onto a hd as I use it on a floppy install, but they have some nice folks to help over at their forums.

Regards,

Jeff

Funny, that's what i'm using on my vectra-turned-router. That would be so funny, if the answer was sitting there, 3 feet from my desk :) .

Any other ideas out there?
