My questions about transfering domain names registered from yahoo :
1- Are A and CNAME record transferts enough to have my domaine on another server ?
2- Can I keep using the yahoo name servers and mail servers when I have my own server ?
Thanks

The term 'domain transfer' we all speak here about is transfer to another registrar. Usually, A, CNAME and whatever else records remain the same. So, you better be more precise what YOU mean with this term.
Thank you.

I meant I have to transfer name like www. urdomain.com to point to my server and also the mail server . my question is if it's possible to use yahoo mail server after the transfer. I registered the site with yahoo and now I want my visitors to see my own pages when the type in my url .
thank you .

Don't remember if Yahoo lets you manage A and CNAME records, if "yes", you can change those records to point to your server.
If not, you'll need to change DNS servers, to DNS servers that point to your server. If you don't have your own dedicated server, the hosting company will provide you with DNS servers for your domain.
Don't use the word "transfer" as you are not transfering a domain, you are configuring it, or maybe 'pointing' it, but not transfering

thank you . I actually have a dedicated server so I'll need to give my DNS server to any customer in order for them to point to my server. what if I still use yahoo DNS servers ? Do I still give them my DNS information or yahoo's ?

If you are planing to give a hosting service with your dedicated server, you have a real problem, because these are basic questions
You need DNS servers for your customer's domains, Yahoo will not provide that service to you, you can configure your server to work as a DNS server for your customers, but i'm afraid you can't configure a server properly. Hope you have a 'real' managed server.

Good point, elmister. I was going to write this myself.
On the other hand, I don't think he's got 'real' managed box, because then he'll ask these questions elsewhere...
