Hi all,

It is true that enom is growing too fast. They offer lots of features and have more and more resellers.

Basically, all enom's resellers then offer exactly then same features to end-users. The only question is price.

namecheap.com
8.88$
sub-reseller ==> yes (contact support@namecheap.com)
nice interface, use ASP to hide enom

dnbuy.com
8.97$
neat site too, use frame redirecting to enom.

123domainregistry.com
8.00$
Indian reseller

Then if you would like an account as stated by my previous post, go to http://domainnamesusa.com/yourinfo.htm and fill that form out. I will set you an enom account up to buy names @ $7.80 per name.

powerpipe.com
7.99$

.........

Let's make the list longer.
Any comment would be appreciated.

But I just don't know how they can make money like that.

For instance, person selling at $7.80 per domain pays enom $0.95 per transaction plus 3%. That amounts to $1.18. Enom's lowest price is $6.95. They would lose $0.33 per domain.

Hi Incognito

If they use their own credit card system, their payment transaction costs can be lower than eNom's 3% + $0.95, but you're absolutely right in that the margins will still be razor thin.

Using their own system at say $0.45 plus 2.29% then the same scenario is $7.80 - $0.63 processing for net of $7.17 less $6.95 for profit of $0.22 and thats before any other costs or chargebacks or credit card fraud....oh my.

No, it doesn't work like that..

..if the person selling for $7.80 sells at that price to a sub reseller, then each sale that the sub reseller makes will cause an amount equal to the $7.80 minus the actual cost [say $6.95] to be credited to the main resellers account.. ie 85cents..

The fees for the Registry Rocket or enom merchant account won't get charged twice, but will be charged to the sub reseller who sold to the end registrant..
