I just registered a new domain with godaddy.com (first time with them)

Anyhow could someone confirm that i did register my domain nameservers correctly with them.

Lets say my domain name is needhelp.com.

I login to godaddy.com account admin center.

In the section "Name Server Information"...I have

Nameserver Last Modified
NS1.needhelp.COM 5/13/2002
NS2.needhelp.COM

Now, in the "Domain Host Information" section...i have

Host IP
NS1 51.50.778.54 (ip address for NS1.needhelp.COM)
NS2 51.50.778.55 (ip address for NS2.needhelp.COM)

Now...all i do is wait for the propagation process...right?

Or is that the wrong way to do it with godaddy.com?

Help :cartman:

Depends on what you're trying to do.
What you described are two different actions.

If you want to point your domain to existing name servers (or new ones) they you use the "Name Server Information" area.

If you want to create name servers then you use the "Domain Host Information" area.

So the way i have it currently set up means that i have registered my domain name servers and also pointed it to my own name servers.

now i just wait for the DNS zone files to update. Correct?
