Hi there,

We're currently looking into a different billing system because the one we are using now does not fully meet our needs.

I've heard good things about Clientexec, and the new version 2.7 seems to have quite a few nice new features.

However, one of our requirements is that we need the possibility to set up accounts instantly as soon as the payment has been made. We don't use that feature for all accounts, but mainly for the shared hosting.

I've asked this question directly to Clientexec, but they simply directed me to their demo, which doesn't help me since the demo version they are running still appears to be 2.6 and I can't find anything there about instantly setting up accounts.

That's why I wanted to ask here whether anyone else has experience with Clientexec 2.7 and whether it is indeed possible to have accounts created instantly after payment?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Regards,

Patrick

Sorry you got pointed to our demo instead of just answered directly. Yes we have a service for account activation in version 2.7

It runs as a cron so you can have it run every minute etc, so instantly is not the correct way to describe it. But yes it is automated now.

Again, sorry someone did not provide the direct answer.

FYI
Other services provided in 2.7
Auto Ticket Closing for old tickets that have gone unanswered by customer
Mailer to send out all outstanding emails as a service, great for scalability issues but optional
DB Backup script that will FTP your db nightly or whatever you decide to setup the cycle
Late Invoice Notification
Account Activation
and more are on the way

Thank you for your reply.

Just a quick question, if I would run that as a cron every minute, wouldn't that be too stressing for the server?

Yup, and it's pretty good. I just had 2.7 installed and I have tested it - works well.
