Are registrars such as ipower.com safe to go with? Meaning they don't suddenly hold your domains, and other troubles, etc?

I'm looking to register bulk names, so I've been looking around for cheaper registrars, and those with big-off coupons. My question is, are they hassle-free? For example, if I decided to transfer the domains out to another registrar, will the process goes smoothly?

I know these things aren't definite and every one will have different experiences, but usually, are they trustworthy?

Or I should have just go with well-known and reputable Registrars such as Godaddy and Namecheap?

Any big name company that is accredited or at least not a virtual company you should be fine. All of these companies have to abide by transfer out policies so you should be OK. Just make sure you do not have another party showing as the registrant. This is too common with hosting companies.

NameCheap are more reputable than a lot of the ICANN registered registrars. They have they're own ICANN registrar, which they are beginning to use (mostly for resellers at this point, afaik).

I have a reseller account with them, they own http://website.unifiedregistrar.com/ - but When someone registers a domain name, it still says Enom.

Ok. I stand corrected on that point. But they do have their own ICANN approved registrar.

I know they do, I'm just wondering on when they are going to start using it. I think they are trying to make it a little like Enom first.

Actually, we are currently working on an API for our registrar. We are not too far off from release. :)
