I had a very bad impression with www.skyauction.com
I won an auction for ticket to VN "depart anytime thru May 31" on May 7th. Made a payment on time ($719) and allowed to "enter trip information at a later time". I enter my info about 2,3 days later. And about 2,3 days later they respond:
>>As we were not able to fulfill your auction as requested, we have withdrawn you from this auction without penalty.
Yes, they can't provide what they are supposed to provide, and did me a favor not penalizing me ???
Right after receiving this email, which included:
>>Your preferred dates of travel are not available in the inventory of seating we must sell. Th outbound has been checked from 05/22-05/31. As
I reply and asked how about May 21.
1 day later, yes, 1 whole day later I receive the mail:
>>Sorry there's nothing available.
This is the info about what I've won bidding.

And remember, this is still the half of May!!!
And you see above is what I actually got.
Any other has experiences with this firm?
And, even though I searched the website very carefully, I found no phone numbers to call.. When I had problem paying by CC, the only mean to contact them was emails, and it always take them 1 day to reply a single email!
Personally I think business with big transactions like this should have some hotline numbers for customers to call.. Because when planning a trip, time is critical... and when you're involved in dealing with one agent, you can't proceed with any others! There’s no money back guarantee like in our hosting industry...
