Hello, colleagues!

I hosted a low-volume, information-oriented site http://www.boscohall.org with Allwayswebhosting.

Well, it didn't work out. :unhappy:

We never got the server's Front Page extensions to work . Basic problems: I could never get their server to complete the web updates processing, neither from FP nor from their server control panel. Details: my post in their forum http://forums.alwayswebhosting.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=165.

:eek2: Any ideas? Any hosting providers who can work out FP problems?

It seems that either the wrong FP extensions was installed and not compatiable to those which you created with or there are some Windows specific extensions which is required by your site.

It would probably be apt to suggest that you consider looking for an IIS based NT/W2k hosting solution which probably should meet your needs better.

I would tend to believe that there is a higher probability of compatiability when we are using solely microsoft solutions.

Incidentally, you might want to take a look at

a) Node Hosting : http://www.nodehosting.com
b) Myhosting.com : http://www.myhosting.com

Write to them about your situation and see how best they could advise you.

Dear colleagues,

Well, Ronnie and I eventually got it worked out.

One problem was the Front Page Extensions. That we cleared up by emptying the site completely, resetting the extensions for my account, then reloading the site.

Site is http://www.boscohall.org, about 60 Mb in size.

I recommend Always Web Hosting. There are problems, but the support is there, too.
