Please forgive me if this is the worng fourm to post this in, but I have heard that Netacore and MCHost are a couple of the top as far as resellers go.

Is there some sort of Top 5 list of web host resellers? This was such a hard decision to make and now i'm feeling like maybe I made a mistake by going with Donhost......can anyone help?

Any suggestions will help!

Would you care to point that out in their TOS or on their site?

Incognito:

DonHost does not offer a 30-day money back:
http://donhost.com/order/terms.html

6.5 During the first 7 days of Services, You are entitled to a refund of the basic hosting plan rental fee should You decide to cancel the Services. No full refunds or pro rata refunds will be made after the first 7 days of service should You decide to cancel the Services.

Although I know of no decent list for top Hosters, something you can make sure everyone on your list has, when it comes to a Money Back Guarantee -- nothing but 30 days. This should be stated in their Terms of Service which is something else to make sure a Hoster has.

Without knowing what your Budget is or features required/desired, it's hard to point you to any recommendations. Not sure I would go by any "Top Site" listings as they all seem to biased in one way or another. Just my opinion though, as I don't use those type sites, but having read a few posts here at WHT, nobody had a good one to recommend.

I had major problems with mchost . i took them 4 days to setup my account , although they guarenteed 24 hours , i got an excuse that some guy out with family for the weekend and didnt get around to it (nice excuse huh?) . i had issues with my email , my server was super slow and overcrowded (seattle.dnsvault.com) . Then my server went completely down , this was the last straw . I cancelled my account and pleeded my case , I was then told i would be getting a refund . After about 5 days i didnt see any refunds , i wrote them back , they said i was on the server to long for me to get a refund , after they said they would ...in writing . Anyways , i dont see anything good about mchost , i recommend splashhost ... in a nutshell .... everything is better about them . faster servers , better bandwidth , better support , less hassle . Anyways i have all there emails they ever sent plus there support tickets , if anyone is interested in seeing this , i can support everything i have wrote

You're correct with that one. We usually always have 2 setting up accounts however that weekend was an exception, the technician on duty was not able to be around. Since then, we also have an additional 10 employees so it shouldn't happen again.

i had issues with my email , my server was super slow and overcrowded (seattle.dnsvault.com) .

I believe you were one of only 5 clients on this machine back then, so there was no way for it to be overcrowded.

I cancelled my account and pleeded my case , I was then told i would be getting a refund . After about 5 days i didnt see any refunds , i wrote them back , they said i was on the server to long for me to get a refund , after they said they would ...in writing .

I am very sorry, but we have actually issued the refund (4/11/02 11:31:55 PM - Client Refunded). We never said we wouldn't refund your account ...we said that we either refund your payments and close the account, or we leave the account open, but it wasn't possible for us to leave the account open for a month and refund the payments.

Back then, we've had an outage on one of the other servers, the outage never affected your server. In any way, if the refund has not appeared on your credit card, let me know and i'll send you a check tomorrow morning for the amount you've paid. I'm sorry we could not make you happy and i wish you all the best :)

I believe Netacore has a dedicated server with MCHost, either that or they stole MCHost's Cpanel skin. ;) Splash Host and Ventures Online are also highly regarded on this forum.

Donhost used to have a 30 day money back guarantee, but they changed it to 7 days.

I dont want any hard feelings . I figured maybe it was a bad week , whatever . As far as my server being over crowded , i prefer not argue . I think its great that you have been able to expand your business, hire more employees and make many others happy with your service . I will add that many people have enjoyed your service and have no complaints , i was recommended to you by one of your customers , we're not friends anymore ,but - just kidding . I was recommended by one of your customers though . i didnt mean to rag on your company .Thats just my perception of the event . Anyways , you're business is already obviously successful , best wishes

I completely agree... I have had nothing but great service from MCHost.

The uptime has been very good, even in the old datacenter, and all support requests have been answered in a timely manner.

Especially since the new staff has been added... I've had 10 and 15 minute ticket resolution times... (notice the RESOLUTION not RESPONSE)

try voxtreme.com too. I moved from Donhost to them (for one of my domain) and they're great so far.

Was just addressing the person who said they were sure they had a 30 day guarantee.

A reminder to all. Read the TOS before you sign up within anyone.
