I am thinking about becoming a reseller. I have a few really basic question about the actual process, basically I will write down how I think the process works and you can correct me if I am wrong:

1. Register for Hosting Reseller Account?
2. Create website with ability to submit forms?
3. Sign up for a merchant account or someone like 2checkout to process credit cards?
4. Sign up for Domain Reseller Account?

The purchase process:

1. Customer chooses the plan and domain name they want?
2. I manually enter information into reseller administration program?
3. I manually register the customer's domain name using the domain reseller?
4. I send the customer dns information and some other general support information?
5. Wait for problems and provide support???? (Do I provide support of does the hosting reseller provide support???)

Please correct any or all of these steps

you got it right.. oh, you provide suppot though as the first line and your host is the second support line.. :)

You got the technical aspect very much correct. Now the other side of it is the marketing. You will have to think of how you will market your new business.

You may also consider reselling just hosting instead of domains as well to start off.

Dont forget to buy a good domain that has something to do with hosting...

Hmmm... what does surrenderonline.com have to do with hosting? Or, why are you recommending he get a domain name that has something to do with hosting when your own domain name of surrenderonline.com doesn't appear to relate to hosting at all?

Not meant as a flame. Just curious.
