Poptel’s Network Operation Centre (NOC) has been designed from the ground up, the key objective being ultra high availability. The NOC is located in a purpose built suite in a managed data operations centre at Telecity, Manchester in the UK.
TeleCity Manchester has been customised to provide the managed environment in which to house and maintain remote Internet and Telecom equipment. Power from NORWEB backed up by UPS and generators, and round the clock engineering cover provide resilience to ensure the continuous availability of equipment.
Equipment is secure in TeleCity Manchester, with 24 hour manned security cover, closed circuit video recording and an advanced intruder detection system supported by ADT/BT RedCARE. Telecity also has a number of other safety and security features including a fire detection system (IFD), a Smoke Detection System and the pipes are wired back to the BMS (Building Monitoring System) to give an early indication of any leaks which may occur.
We have a wide range of in-house skills ranging from network and systems administrators to web and database developers and designers on a variety of platforms.
