Hi,
I'm considering Vortech Cypher plan ($35/month) for reselling unix & nt webhosting.
Account Details:
Combination Windows 2000 and Unix
Setup Fee Free
Domains UNLIMITED
Control Panel H-Sphere
Unix Disk Space 500MB
Windows Disk Space 500MB
Mail Quota Space UNMETERED
MySQL Database Space 100MB
PGSQL Database Space 100MB
Data Transfer 15GB
Users 10
SITE STUDIO Free
Personalized Nameservers Free
---
The only thing I'm afraid is about Data Transfer limit and maximum number of users per account...
But it has good ping & traceroute from europe, which is very important to me.
What do you think about it?
Should I go for it?

I highly recommend to do a search about them on this forum...

I don't believe you can get a valid poll on this question, as it doesn't matter how you try to express it, they will always suffer from confusion with ResellerMatrix. Probably would be easier if you did a poll on Vortech (their parent) or just searched on both throughout this site.

Yeah, you're probably right.
Maybe Vortech should also consider to abandon MatrixReseller name...

Yep all in one Control Panel as well.. :)
evildream: On the pings will be good over there.. We are on with Level(3) and Qwest and soon to be epik and cogent maybe as well.
evildream: We really like the name.. To bad some one with a name close to it had to kill it.. :(
I hope users will not think of that other bad name when they see us.. :) So far it does not seem to hurt us at all. That site has done great since it was launch about 2 months ago.. :)

Pings is a major issue when it comes to choose a reseller in USA, since I'm from Europe (Portugal).
Pings to you are around 150/160 which is considered to be very good.
The most important backbones are qwest (knpqwest) and uunet (worldcom) because they have OC connections between Europe and USA.
Level3 and cogent are no difference for us... curiously I've some packet loss from those connections.

Are you saying you have seen packet lose on Level(3) before from where you are? I have never really seen this problem on Level(3). We also have Epik now as well full GIGe as well.

Don't want to make this out to be an AD really.. But just so you know the bandwidth is also higher now. Its now 25GB on that same plan plus 2 more users for a total of 12.. Just so you know. ;)

Personally, I don't like how they designate space. I prefer to use space as I choose. However, I haven't seen any complaints here lately about matrixreseller, and that's always a good sign.
Can't say the same about resellermatrix. Just don't get them confused. Remember that reseller comes last in the domain name for the good guys. Here's an easy way to remember...
matrixreseller = Matrix Rules!
resellermatrix = Reseller Moos!
or come up with your own. :)

Vortech (MatrixReseller) Rocks!!
I only wish they had this setup when I started three years ago.
It is important that you understand the difference between unlimited domains and number of users. I have seen people get very upset when they realize that they thought it worked differently.
Here is an explanation of how it works.
On the Cypher plan you are allowed to set up 10 users (control panels)
Each of the 10 (control panels) will be allowed to have unlimited domains. But only one log in for each control panel.
This means that all the domains use the resources of the control panel that it is under. Let's say, control panel #1 has 50 domains, you will only have one Password, User Name, FTP access etc... to all the domains under control panel #1.
This really doesn't matter though, because you can upgrade to the next level plan as your business grows, and at the top level plan you only pay a one time fee of $4 for each extra control panel.
Also, they charge Florida state sales tax to each of the plans.
This is in addition to the prices posted on their site.
My vote would be to go for it!!
