Hi Everyone

Have tried the quoting system but just getting automated replies at the oment so thought I would ask here. . .

This is what I am after . . .

Comments to Hosts:
In the UK there are some companies that are now doing resllers account for unix and windows for £24-30 per month with unlimited bandwidth and space. (Linux is fine but would be even better with windows too lol)

This is fine for most of my sites, however some of my sites are model portfolios and as such may contain nudity/adult scenes. However they are genuine model sites of low bandwidth. Am toying with the idea of member only pay sites/shops.

Is there anyone that could handle all of my needs that also provide good backup, support and all the usual reseller stuff?

cheers

p.s. currenlty my sites are under 4 gig (but near its reselling limit) and well under 3gig transfer. Not sure how much as I have never reached my transfer limit.

Thanks in advance . . .

Well you could check the offers section of WHT. Also there are various directories like tophosts.com hostdetective.net, etc. Once you have a few providers in mind come back here and use the search tool to find reviews on them

You can definately find a good solid host that will meet and exceed your needs. HostSearch.com is a good start as well, as well as HostVoice and the offers section on WHT. Good luck!

Well, you can find these sorts of offers anywhere, but seriously, stay far away from unlimited offers, rather, try to buy what you actually need - your customers will certainly thank you in the long run..

This shouldnt be overly difficult to find within your budget (you will probably get allocated anywhere for 30-60 GB tansfer from most good providers - which sounds like it is plenty for you)

If you are looking for dual platform support (linux and windows), you should take a look at hsphere providers. If you are just looking for linux accounts, then you will have manu more options available to you.

that amount of money is fine with your current use (3-4GB) with good support. However, as mentioned, stay away from any host offering unlimited bandwidth and space. You can get around 5 - 7GB space with 80 - 100GB transfer if you can pay £24-30 per month

Maybe try http://123-host.me.uk. However, *unlimited* is a joke -- don't even think of it. Ask others here, if you doubt it.

If you have your clients best interests at heart, then stay clear from unlimited hosts. They simply either enforce very strict limits on cpu/memory usage or overload servers. It will be a lot of hassle and you'll soon find yourself looking for another host..

With your budget, you should be able to find a good reliable host to create a solid foundation on. Search around not only the web hosting offers forum, but also the reseller forum.

An important thing to note is not to choose a host just on reviews. Do your own research. Contact the companies which interest you. Ask them as many questions as you can think of. Test the response of technical support/billing/sales etc.

Good Luck! :)

Unlimited space and data transfer are bad news in shared hosting, but in reseller hosting they're down right silly. As the reseller's business grows it adds more and more customers and use more and more resources.

Not only that $xx cannot pay for unlimited amounts of anything, but resellers buying such a package and actually believing the hype, risk losing contact with reality. By that I mean that they will price their packages much too low (in order to gain an edge against all other providers), as they figure that their costs for space and data transfer are virtually $0, which couldn't be father from the truth.

As usual, a careful read of the terms of service often reveals the real (often indirect) limitations of such reseller packages.

Exactly!

If you are on an unlimited package it may be fine at first, but soon everyone will start using the unlimited space and bandwidth they paid for and the server will become overloaded. It's sort of like the expression give an inch take a mile, but instead they give a mile and you use a mile. Accounts need to be limited, because the servers are limited themselves. It's simple as that.

I would recommend checking the offers section as you will find what you need easier.
