It is supposed to be much better than Episode 1 so I am kinda looking forward to seeing it!! :) Synthetic 05-15-2002, 08:19 PM I'm going to be seeing it either on Friday or Saturday. I just hope I'll be able to get tickets. JMD 05-15-2002, 08:35 PM Me for sure, i still have to see Spider Man umm need to get out more:D 21inchguns 05-15-2002, 08:50 PM a friend of mine just saw it, and said it was ****e....... AcuNett 05-15-2002, 09:01 PM I thought it came out tomorrow  mhalbrook 05-15-2002, 09:07 PM On the release date. It's tomorrow some places and alot of overseas places get it the same day as we do here in the states, ie. they've already gotten it probably. As to how good it will be, I've already read the book, I think most of the people that didn't like EP I will be happier. Not to mention since Ep I didn't live up to expectations (how could it) I don't think expectations are as high for Ep II. Gadgy 05-15-2002, 09:21 PM Star Wars II and Spiderman available NOW! Barras, Glasgow. < Apparently the piracy capital of the world  15th May. :D :D :D nuthin 05-15-2002, 09:28 PM saw it on divx when it was released via the "internet" pretty cool movie. i will be seeing it when it hit's australia in the cinemas for sure. try before you buy! richy 05-15-2002, 09:49 PM doubt ill see it, ep1 was too much of a kiddie flick. nothing there for the classic fans. lotr was well done for all ages it kept the kids still for nearly 3 hours and engrossed the adults (pitty it was so heavily editted, i would have like to see 9 x 3 hour films not 3 x 3 hours :(), shame lucas sold out too much. some of us are over 8 and grew out of our space balls lunch boxes. ep1 was a major dissapointment for me, bordering on sacrilidgous. the only reason id go and see this is i wanna see the jedis whup some, and also wanna see yoda with a sabre. akashik 05-15-2002, 11:58 PM Just got back from seeing it... excellent. I enjoyed Ep1, but the new one is ten times better. The battle scenes are just awesome. And Yoda's might fine with a lightsaber Greg Moore mantra 05-16-2002, 04:37 PM I'm going tonight, can't wait. I look forward to the special effects. JayC 05-16-2002, 05:04 PM Originally posted by akashik Just got back from seeing it...Same here; caught the 1230 pm showing. Absolutely an improvement over episode 1; the climactic battle scene [that's not a spoiler is it? You know there's going to be one!] was spectacular; the beasts in the arena scene were among the best such effects I've ever seen. Think about how much more realistic those movements look than, say, the often-lauded dinosaurs in Jurassic Park! Some slow parts, some clunky moments of dialogue and some flat delivery in some less-than-stellar acting performances. At the same time, though, there are some very strong performances. I didn't recommend Episode 1 to anyone but die hard fans and young kids, but this one should appeal to much broader audience. p1net 05-16-2002, 07:28 PM I say it earlier on today and I have to say it was brillant. A huge improvement over EP1 . The CG was amazing. I am really looking forward to episode 3 now!! ;) :D JDTurbeville 05-16-2002, 09:23 PM I'm going to watch the movie tomorrow night with my friends. I just finished downloading the DivX files this afternoon jt akashik 05-16-2002, 09:35 PM hope you've got a big screen and lots of speakers. I always think Star Wars loses something outside the cinema... especially this one Greg Moore JayC 05-16-2002, 09:48 PM Originally posted by akashik hope you've got a big screen and lots of speakers. I always think Star Wars loses something outside the cinema... especially this oneEspecially this one, especially since it was shot all in digital. So if you want to see it the way it should be seen, you should see it not on just any big screen, but in a place where it'll be projected digitally. That's how I saw it today. Maybe you can, too, if any of these screens are near you: http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/digitalproj_list.html JKLIVIN 05-16-2002, 11:04 PM definitely going to see it! Shyne 05-16-2002, 11:09 PM I didn't see the movie, but from looking at small scenes on TV the movie looks like it's for two years old. Nothing there is realistic besides few actors. Almost all the movie is computer animated. All the colorful lazer and other stuff looks childish. alchiba 05-16-2002, 11:10 PM Originally posted by akashik And Yoda's might fine with a lightsaber Yes he certainly is. But can someone please explain why he hobbles around on a cane through most of the film yet suddently becomes nimble as a Ninja during that fight scene? Choppy 05-17-2002, 12:06 AM ... YODA is a Jedi... he uses the force to forget about his bad back and legs! I love Star Wars - Also have a rip of it but refuse to see it until Sunday when im going to watch it... CANT WAIT!!!! |
