I have installed a test SSL cert on a domain I can address the domain by http:// and see the default page OK but when I put in https:// I get the security pop up telling me it is a test cert which is good, but then when I click OK I get a web site cannot be found page.


Anybody got any Idea's what I need to add to the DNS to get this to resolve correctly?
When I do a domain list it shows Apache has the secure port open for this IP address.
Oh and I am using WHM to install the cert etc.

What message do you get that you think is good? Be specific.

This has nothing to do with DNS.

This usually happens when the site URL doesn't match the cert -

ie https://secure.domain.com has to have a cert with the URL secure.domain.com

Is that the problem?

What version of CPanel / WHm manager do you have?

What is the url to the secure site?

Perhaps then I can help further.
