As with most things, the parts are always worth more than the whole. My guess is that they sold the accounts to another company who didn't need the hostlead "company/website". So might as well make more moiney selling that off to another inspiring hosting provider.

That is exactly right... we had another company take the customers off our hands back in late February. Most companies interested in buying out other company's customers are usually not interested in the web site or domain. We basically now have a "shell" web hosting company and we don't want it to go to wastes so we are trying to sell it, either to a new company or a company who wants a face-lift for their old web site.
