Hi
I have signed up for a reseller hosting plans.I have changed the nameservers to my own private name. But unfortunately only one nameserver has accepted from hosting company.I have asked the reason wyh only one name nameserver has applied for all my hosted domains. He has told me due to abuse etc.He should control my domains.

Is this the general case for the resellers? Is it not possible to change both nameservers and where i have bought my reseller package i did not want to show my customers. However,i have checked some hosting companies they have not got even one email adress.

WWW.ARS-ASP.COM.48.70.186.221.in-addr.arpa (http://www.ARS-ASP.COM.48.70.186.221.in-addr.arpa) Do you have any idea about this adress.I have checked but i did not find anything. This place attack to my computer daily 3 times.I would like to write to the admin of the page but there is no informations.

I will prove all the attacked with date and time.I have saved this log.

Thank you for your advice.

You should be given 2 nameservers for your reseller account. This prevents anyone from knowing, using normal means, that you're just a reseller.

If your host is not given you two, I suggest you look for another reseller that will provide two IP address'.

It seems like there are some seperate issues here. First, regarding giving him control over domains, some registrars allow you to specify different contacts/authority levels over domains. There is nothing harmful about giving him limited access to changing your nameservers appropriately. In fact, he may just be trying to simplify the process for you.

You stated you're under attack; this may possibly be what he is talking about with abuse. With further information, we may be able to assist you.

I would say yeah right, no domain control what so ever. Are you saying that the provider is only giving you one nameserver? I agree with the above, most providers will offer two private nameservers if any. I wouldn't see the reason behind needing to control your domain name though, sounds a little....phishy hehe
