If I have (2) RedHat Linux 7.2 boxes running and I plus both of them into the switch. If I wanted one to do DNS and DNS only what do I need to do? I have a in-house DS1, and a Cisco 2600 series router. Do I go into the router and tell those ports to be directed to those machines or what? I have a switch and the switch is connected to the cisco router. One machine is for doing web serving and one is for DNS. Can someone help me here?

And the next thing is how do I give my machines a WAN I.P. Address. I assume I set the Cisco router as the gateway. I'm not sure. Someone please clue me in here.

List your DNS server as authoritative for the domains with your registrar. Set up the zones with your various A records, MX records, etc.. for the domains on the DNS server and you're done.
