For those that manage their own servers, or someone elses servers – How much does it really take? How much time does it take to do it? What other than updating packages with RPM do you really need to do… assume I have Cpanel installed… 

Thanks much!

depends what the customer wants, if they want this and that installed or removed, it takes time to do that. it mostly depends on what work is needed to be done.

Greetings:

"For those that manage their own servers, or someone elses servers – How much does it really take? How much time does it take to do it? What other than updating packages with RPM do you really need to do… assume I have Cpanel installed."

It varies based on the type of business our customer is in, the configuration of the server, the data center the server is located, and potentially other needs.

We have some advanced clients utilizing load balanced web servers, back end database servers, mail servers, etc. where we put in a minimum of 40 hours per month.

We have other clients that just require an hour a month. Others buy a block of time, and use maybe 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there.

Thank you.
