Bob Mutch has posted a list of the best 40 webdirectories, based on a rough scoring of the quality of links to the directory:

The scoring isn't a judgement of value of the directory itself, as much as tries to examine factors that Google may place more weight on - ie, quality of inbound links, such as from DMOZ, .edu and .gov sites.

Ya I removed zeal.com. I added a few stats to my list. Number of pages in the Google index and I have the year the domain is registered. I am considering adding PR and perhaps rating on editoral content quality, site wides that are not in a nofollow, and keyword title stuffing.

I did a press release on PRWEBWIRE and PRNEWSWIRE today.
