Sorry :) I meant what are you using "for" your VPN.

I'm running software based VPN server. For bandwidth limit simply you can use traffic shaper. e.g. ipfw with pipes

I'm using a Win98 machine with ISDN to connect to a VPN network. The baud of VPN on my PC seems to be hard set to 9'600. Little bit slow if you ask me :D

My notebook with WinME however connects at the full baud of the modem, ie. if I connect to the internet at 52'000, then I connect to VPN at 52'000

it's prevalent bug on some win98 clients. try update your OS at microsoft.com - or as your question at news://comp.dcom.vpn
