Could any body suggest a good, competitive windows based sitebuilder. The main aim is to have a simple to use, not very expensive, having builtin templates sitebuilder solution which could be offered to the customers at cheap rates.

Hi, I use Reseller Dynamics SiteBuilder reseller.websitedynamics.com which is owned by mezine.com, which has thousands of templates for clients to use, and it runs itself. You set the price levels and clients signup for the service which provides them with webhosting, free subdomain name (test.domainname.com) or they buy one through the system for 11.99, and an easy to use content management system. some of their related sites are: websitedynamics.com samplebuilder.com shoppingcartsplus.com citymax.com atomicshops.com, which all use that identical sitebuilder
The only drawback is the high initial startup cost, but over time as more clients begin to signup, the profits this can make are insane! I can't wait. So far, I takein $500/mo. already with only 6 clients. But this depends on whether they signup for yearly or monthly hosting at the time, a lot of factors. check it out though my immediate need was an ecommerce solution for those clients not willing to spend thousands on site design but wanted an online store. there is one builtin with payment, secure server, shopping cart, etc. it is really great.

Your might want to look at the SW-Soft sitebuilder. I've only see the Linux product, but they seem very similar.

We have used the site builder by Website Dynamics for the past year and it is a top notch system. There are over 1100 templates and 1800 stock images to use all for one price. Plus ecommerce and integration with Paypal and ebay all included as well.
As azureazure said though your going to have to get over the $3500.00 initial setup fee and another $500 if you want to do your own billing and then each customer costs you $10
The market is there for this product and we do well with it but it's not in the same league as many of the addon type site builders that you see being offered by many hosts.
It's work checking out if you have the $$ and the time to makeup your investment.
My 2 cents.

Hi ene,
Cool to hear that you use that sys too. You do your own billing? I didn't know that is an option. Is it worth it moneywise to do so? What are you charging for your packages? (I know ours are probably too high)

We like doing our own billing as we get the money faster :-)
We have one and only one plan, $18.95 per month with no setup fee.
It's worked great for us so far.

Shoot! my yearly plan is 34.88, monthly is 37.88
Thing is, don't you only get $8.95 per customer per month commission?
Do more people signup when it's at a lower price?

To each his own.....we sell based on volume. Our specific people we market to/with would not sign up if the price was that high, however, if you have people paying that amount then keep going.
Cheers :lovewht:

SW-Soft.com sitebuilder is free for windows atm, and will remain free forever for whoever gets it before septemeber this year. :)
Unlimited domains etc

ene - That's the problem I face - not sure if I should go for volume (low price, more clients) or higher price and less clients. It's been the debate for a long time. Picking up clients is slow but steady. But I'd like the sitebuilder to make a lot more money than it currently is. Can the builder handle hundreds of active users?

Ene,
Saw your message from 2003 that you use ResellerDynamics. Do you still use them and are you happy with them? Thanks, Rick
