Which host should I go with for reselling?

Myacen's cheaper and offers more for less, however they're rarely recommended as a reseller.

On the other hand, MCHost is used by a ton of people and have seemed to overcome the recent problems they had, but are more expensive.

Are there any other hosts out there? I want to start out small and upgrade as I go along, eventually getting a dedicated.

I would say MC Host for a few reaons:

(1) They seem to be a reptuable company on many hosting forums

(2) The staff are always helpfull

(3) Usually good uptime

(4) As we have learn't you get what you pay for.

We have gone with some relatively unknown companies in the past and have had nothing but trouble so I suggest paying that little bit more and buying quality.

so... with a logo or better web design means this is a better hosting company? :eek:

not saying web design is not important, web design is the image of the company.

but from what i've seen, mchost does have better reputition and heaps of clients (from the forum), but they also have some problem and it was appeared in this forum before :o

I suggest surrenderonline.com, there speed and up time is great and they have service to match ... just something for you to think about.

I will not recommend Mchost to anybody they have been extremely unstable always problems when its not that their servers are hacked, or that the NOC is having connection problems, or that they are doing upgrades etc...etc......

I personally recommend datahosts.net they are a small company but they are best at what they do hosting. Never had downtime never had a problem with their service.

Ive been with MCHost for 6+ months now, got great customer service for my money. I got most accounts in the new data center and had pretty much 100% uptime. I would recommend MCHost to anyone! :D

I have sent two e-mails of pre-sales questions to MCHost over the course of a month and have still received absolutely no response, acknowledgement, or even a bounce message. That's an extremely unprofessional practice and does not bode well for customer support. If they can't even bother to answer a potential customer and entice them, how will they treat me once they have my money in hand?

All our sales questions and replies are monitoried to ensure quick and satisfying response (12-24 hours max; support issues are 1st priority, sales are 2nd). If you did not receive a reply to your sales inquiry i would like to hear from you so that we can look into this :)

I would recommend My cable hosting to anyone burst up to 20k/sec ! no down time in last 6 hours on winxp :D

nah j/k... seriously, every host is almost the same, bandwidth provider, support and the costomer service is most important in the hosting industry imho, mchost probably have more staff working than the others, but I'm not going to recommend anyone since I didn't host with any of them.

Been with MCHost since ohhh sept / oct last year - no major probs apart from the usual support issues you get with normal hosts - quickly fixed by the support team.

So well, MCHost. All the way.

I have a reseller account with Myacen.com and their support is fantastic. I would say 95% of the time support emails come back in less then 20 minutes and they really watch their servers to make sure im up and running 24/7.
Their not off playing golf like other host owners do.

I can't speak for MCHost, but I can recommend Myacen.
