Is there anything similar to fantastico but not for CPanel?

Some Automatic Script Installer, for free, that doesnt need any specific hosting panel. (i have rewritten VHCS so i don't think there is one for that, so i need one that can be easly modified for my needs)

this is for free hosting, so i don't need any billing stuff and such. It just need to be open source so i can rewrite it (or ask someone to rewrite it) for my modified VHCS panel.

P.S. please don't say there is no such thing for VHCS, i'm aware of that, i will make it to be compatibile with VHCS, but i don't want to write it from the scratch.

plesk has application vault, i think theres one called installertron for ensim

Installatron is made for DirectAdmin or cPanel, but it has an extra cost. I have not ran across any free "multi-program" installers so far. The odd thing is that almost all scripts included in Fantastico & Installatron are no cost to use and can usually be installed fairly easily on their own....but people willingly pay for the auto-installer. Don't get me wrong, I understand the popularity of the installers and occasionally use them myself, I would just like to see fantastico/installatron and the other auto-install scripts pass some of their profits onto the actual scripts being installed as most have a donate option available.

so it seems there are no free auto-installers? strange. Well i also think installing scripts is easy, but many people doesnt think so, and that's for them

if anyone will see such free auto-installer script, please let me know

Cpanel is coming up with a script similar to fantastico in their edge release which will have autoinstallers similar to fantastico.

i was looking for something that is not dependant on any control panel
