The RaQ 550 is not available yet:

The new server appliance starts at $1,699.00 and will be available in June through www.sun.com/sunstore as well as from most major e-tailers and an extensive network of Sun resellers. Trade-in programs are available for those currently using Sun or other companies' server appliances.

what features does the 550 appliance have that the raq3 + 4 do not?
nobody has posted any differences yet

They price turned me away from them for a while. I bought a raq3i for 3K 2 years ago. With the new gui which I like allot. I consider it pretty good since you can host tons of domains. Plesk with 30 domains already cost $199

I first thought Sun Mirco buying Cobalt was a big mistake. Looks like major improvements. Hope they are more rock solid now. GO Sun Micro GO!!! =P
