I've had this weird thing going on the VPS forum, and possibly others.
When I go to the VPS forum: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=104 - the topics are arranged like almost randomly. They are not arranged by when the last person posted. So usually I have to click on "Last Post" so it sorts it out and turns it into this: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=104&daysprune=60&order=desc&sort=lastpost

I haven't came across any other forums doing this, knock on wood.
So why the VPS offers forum?

It is sorted by thread creation date, it is to stop bumping.

That is so no one can bump their thread, all of the offers forum have it.

They are listed by creation date.

Dangit Tyler, you beat me. :)

Ah, thanks. I didn't know that. Is there any way I can change that in my user preferences and override it or something?

To view the latest poster all the time? Not that I know of.
