I'm an eighteen year old college freshemen who is majoring in Digital Media. Right now I'm looking to expand my portfolio. I have my site at angelfire. Now I want to move my site to a paid host. I appreciate your help in finding a host. I was looking heavily at Site5.com? Your recommedations would be helpful. Thanks......

Depends on your needs. Space / Bandwidth / Scripting support / Reliability.

As long as you stay away from hosts offering unlimited or insane amounts of bandwidth, you should be fine. Do a search here first of course, and make sure there are no long term contracts as well as a full 30 day money back guarantee in case you aren't happy. :)

hey, http://www.gfxsites.net/ is great for artists. really cheap prices too.
might want to check them out, I've never been with them personally.
*edit* just read unlimited on their site. lol.

www.phpwebhosting.com is very supportive of artists and independent music/media. and very affordable. they offer the "unmetered" deal, but, i highly recommend them.
i was with them for almost a year, and towards the end was pushing about 30-35gb of bandwidth per month before i decided to go to a dedicated server. they were completely great about moving me to a better machine since the site was busy and all, totally trying to help where they could.
all for $9.95 a month.
