Allright, I have signed up with Netacore. Since it seems to be an underdiscussed host, I will relate to you all my experiences.

So far, I have signed up, and have received the e-mail detailing my account. So far, so good :)

Everything seems to be running fine. Cpanel is great, they allow full customization of practically everything. The only problem I'm having is with the installation of NewsPro, which is a fairly popular news updates (perl). Otherwise, I would say despite whatever you may think about the prices and what they offer, it is definitely worth it.

I submitted a support ticket, and within the hour, I recieved a reply. All in all, Netacore is an incredibly good host, great quality, affordable, great support, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking.

I'm not sure, but I think that Newspro have problem with mod_perl also with new Perl versions.

I remember to read something like that when a customer has a problem with it.

I do signed up with their reseller plan C also. Great support so far especially during the initial set up process.

Currently host my 2 domain at their site , will transfer my 3rd domain (main site) when the contract with current host ends this Dec.

Well one of their servers has been down for several hours now. Hopefully it will be up soon, because I have a lot of important stuff there.

My sites are on that server that is down. I put in a trouble ticket hours ago and still no answer. Let's just hope that this is a fluke.

They just answered my support ticket, apparently, the alpha server had some kernel-type error and that caused it to go offline. They're working on it now, which is good. :agree: :)

Hi

Can anyone tell me how long it takes Netacore to set up a Reseller Account?

I submitted the sign up yesterday and the screen following payment acceptance said the account would be up within the hour - that was 26 hours ago. So far I haven't received any email telling me the account is up and running.

I would like to stress this is not a complaint, I am just worried that any account information email has gone astray (been having occassional problems with receiving email to my BT account)

I have emailed Netacore support but so far no reply. Which is strange because their pre-sales support was first class

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks

Kevin

Php 4.2.0

Ewww....

Try to run phpNuke, I bet you you can't run it.

Can't believe if a company that big didn't notice that.

Ohh well.

kjedwards,

It normally takes < 1 hour for accounts to be setup.

However, our upstream provider experienced a delay in releasing our new batch of IP orders. We've received them late last night and are creating new accounts that were delayed this moment

I am a new reseller with Netacore too. I also didn't get my info right away, however when I emailed support I got a message back very quickly explaining why.

So far everything is great...i would surely recomend them to anyone!

Are you serious???

You have not even signed up for them and you are recommending them to everyone!

At least wait a few months before you come out with a comment like that it would benefit the newbies more.

Good luck with them anyway,

Hi

Thanks Norm

I did receive the welcome email earlier today. I'm just waiting now for the DNS to kick in so I can access the cpanel - hopefully it won't be long.

Thanks

Kevin

You should be able to login to your control panel by going to netacore.com/cpanel

I'd hate to confuse our new or future users, but netacore.com/cpanel will not bring the users into the control panel. Instructions are outlined in the 'Welcome to Netacore, Inc.' emails.

Thanks

Hi

I think Netacore has been quite good. They say they have been the subject of a DOS attack hence the various problems. But they have responded to my support tickets and have sorted things out. There are still one or two issues like email doesn't seem to be working yet and I cannot access SSL but I am sure they will sort these out pretty quickly.

Overall I am impressed by their service up to now - it hasn't been trouble free but the fact that they do respond is reassuring.

You have all of these newbies that have just signed up for an account, and they're already recommending the host because they have responded to a trouble ticket or two.

I have been with my current host for two months (a well regarded host on these forums), and I already have a backup account with another host in case my first host drops the ball. I would not even think of recommending them until I've been with them for a 6-12 months.

If they're still responding to my emails, trouble tickets, have been keeping me updated on downtime and server trouble and haven't had excessive downtime due to other reasons within that time period then I'll start recommending them, otherwise, a recommendation is pretty worthless.

It sounds like a host or a hosts' friend trying to plug a business, and no, I am not saying that is the case in this particular instance, but it does seem fishy to me. Get some real experience with a host before you start giving your recommendation to everyone on the basis of one or two trouble tickets. It would carry a lot more weight, honesty, and would be really useful to people looking for a good hosting service.

Just an opinion, feel free to flame away...

I agreed with you, we need to stay long with any host to give a honest and non-baised comment

Hi

Just for the record I have no connection with Netacore at all.

I did request info about Netacore before I signed up, but no one responded that seemed to have any experience of them for more than a few weeks.

I sent several emails to their sales guys before signing up and I was impressed with their responses.

I just find that after 3 years with a hosting company that had a response to support of either do it straight away or ignore it completely to find a hosting company that actually responds and sorts things out quickly - brilliant. Maybe I am easily pleased.

I agree that you have to be with someone for quite some time before you get a true indication of what they are like. Time will certainly tell, But by the same token you have to give credit where it is due.

Yours

Kevin
