Management & Virltual hosting

I'm about to have a server management company handle the hardening and monitoring for my server while I'm using it for virtual hosting. I need to use the same root password to perform my tasks and I need suggestions on this idea : Should I have a reseller priveleged account to do my business(hosting) or just share the root password with them ? all advices are welcome!

If there going to perform any hardening on the server they will need root access. In other words, choose a trustworthy company. The password can always be changed after their work is performed.

Just thought I would add their is nothing wrong with using the same root password yourself to perform the tasks you need to.
