I have a problem with the DNS, maybe someone could help or give me some ideas.

I switched to Splash Host last week and the DNS for my domain was changed on May 8th. I know it can take up to 72 hours for the change to take effect, so I've been waiting...

I've tried my site from a few different computers and I've had friends try it, to see if they are seeing the site on the new host.

It keeps switching --- One day I can see the site at the new host when I go to www.elitegrafx.com, the next day I see it at the old host, and it's not always the same from different computers... The other day I could see it on the new host from one PC, but no one else could.

Also, Outlook Express checks my email, and one day after changing the DNS it started asking for the password, so I assumed it was trying to login to the new host with the wrong password, so I put the password for the new host in. It retreived my mail with no problem. Then the next day I had to switch it to the password of the old host and it checked mail there. It apparently keeps switching.

A friend said that maybe my previous host was still "broadcasting" the DNS and it could be causing this problem. Do you think this is the case?

The previous host was www.lalaweb.com and I can't reach them. I can't get anyone to respond by phone or email.

What do I do????? I need to get my customers transferred to the new host!

Internic is showing ns1 and ns2.elitegrafx.com as its authoritative nameservers which I suppose is what you want anyway

And the IP's 65.193.180.248 & 247 are traceable to Dallas1.Level3.Net so if you are on Alan's affordablecolo servers in Dallas I think that is fine too

debug.net traces mail.elitegrafx.com also to 65.193.180.247 so I cant see a problem there

I dont think your old host can do anything about your site if you have changed the nameserver's IP's with netsol

Just give it some more time is all I can think of saying

Good Luck

Thanks, I wasn't aware of debug.net.

I wonder if it will show all the same info when my site switches to the old host all of the sudden?
