I have a problem with the DNS, maybe someone could help or give me some ideas.
I switched to Splash Host last week and the DNS for my domain was changed on May 8th. I know it can take up to 72 hours for the change to take effect, so I've been waiting...
I've tried my site from a few different computers and I've had friends try it, to see if they are seeing the site on the new host.
It keeps switching --- One day I can see the site at the new host when I go to www.elitegrafx.com, the next day I see it at the old host, and it's not always the same from different computers... The other day I could see it on the new host from one PC, but no one else could.
Also, Outlook Express checks my email, and one day after changing the DNS it started asking for the password, so I assumed it was trying to login to the new host with the wrong password, so I put the password for the new host in. It retreived my mail with no problem. Then the next day I had to switch it to the password of the old host and it checked mail there. It apparently keeps switching.
A friend said that maybe my previous host was still "broadcasting" the DNS and it could be causing this problem. Do you think this is the case?
The previous host was www.lalaweb.com and I can't reach them. I can't get anyone to respond by phone or email.
What do I do????? I need to get my customers transferred to the new host!
