Hello,

Is it possible to get a "normal" emailaddress like me@domain.com on my Raq4r?

Mail is working perfectly with me@www.domain.com.

Greetings,

You can add the mail catch domain for each virtual site in its settings.

it must be:
yourdomain.com

perhaps there is something wrong with DNS settings?

taken from the Sun Cobalt support forums, we've been trying to figure this one out for awhile

-------------------------------------
On the RaQ4 there are two places to keep in mind when setting up email for a virtual site.
Under Site Management -> Site Settings for a virtual site, you can set the "email server alias" as just domain.com. That tells the server that that particular virtual site is to accept mail destined for user@domain.com (instead of just user@host.domain.com).

Under Server Management -> Control Panel -> Email Server parameters -> host/domain aliases field, put in the fully qualified domain name (host.domain.com).

Basically, the domain name should only go in one of two places. Either the host/domain aliases under Control Panel, or as the email server alias under the Site Settings.

I allready set the mail alias in the sitemanagement, but when i'm trying to send a testmessage through Outlook he would connect to the server (pop3/smtp), but he would give an error: "Send test e-mail message: Unable to send test Message. Please verify the E-Mail Address field." In this field I only have admin@mydomain.com. When I make it admin@www.mydomain.com he still would work. I made the changes according to the previous thread.

The SMTP and POP3 however are working perfectly with mydomain.com.

-----My DNS setting for my domain------

mydomain.com 192.168.25.2
mail.mydomain.com 192.168.25.2
www.mydomain.com 192.168.25.2
mydomain.com mail is sent to the High priority mail server intranet.mymail.com

-----End of setting for my domain------

raq3 solution:

to change the email acceptable from mail@www.website.com to mail@website.com you need to goto
Site management>site settings>
click checkbox -- accept email for domain.

have fun!

ciao

"Unfortunately" we are running a Raq4r, but thanks for the tip anyway.
