Ok, My brother left his domain go without paying it (he said he wanted to transfer it but couldnt decide on a new register) and NetSol shut it down.

He had trouble with his credit card and they was sending him a new one so he couldnt go and pay for the domain when they killed it. Well now NetSol has moved their database or whatever and emailed him to say they couldnt transfer the domain because he didnt pay.

He followed the link in the email to renew the domain and guess what... says the domain isnt in their database. Yet if he tries to transfer it to them or register it with them it says the domain is already registered with them.

He is going to call them tomorrow but this is a really screwed up way to run a company...

a domain company to put a register lock on a domain name. They can keep it for a long time too.

Best to contact them and ask them about renewing it thru them. Then transfer it later. I doubt if they will release the lock unless you do it that way. And since you let it exprie they do not have to let you transfer it.

try their live chat, or just call them, but both ways i uess you'll have to pay the fee for a year. Then transfer it away from Netsol.

He doesnt mind paying them then moving it. The messed up part that I am complaining about it if you try to renew it the site says its not in their datatbase. It tells you that you can transfer it to them. If you try to transfer it to them it tells you the domain is already in their database. They got this new database now and if your domain was expired even for an hour when they chaned over they didnt move the domain.
