Hi

Currently I have a great host which has excellent tech support. However, I only get 150 mb and 10gb of transfer a month for $15.
Ive looked around and it seems like I could get a better deal. I just got a digital camera and I am planning on running a php program called gallery to display my photos. Currently I host 5 different personal pages for friend and family off of the same account. I am thinking I am gona need a lot more space. I probably won't need that much more transfers cause most of it is friends and family its not gona be a commerial productions - just a gallery for friends and family.

Here what i am looking for ...

1. as much space a possible...say 350mb+
2. as much bandwith as possible... say 10gb+
3. want to be able to host a couple of different site on same server. all with different "accounts"
4. php, cgi, mySQL hopefully i can edit + create these myself without e-mailing tech support.
5. at least 25 emails with catch all
6. also need execellent tech support

i am willing to pay about $15 a month by the year as soon as i try a month or two and its good.

any suggestions?

thanks!

My advice is if you're happy with your current host, then don't switch hosts unless you need to. Sure, better deals are out there, but remember, cheapest isn't always best. If you still want to find a better deal, post what you're looking for in the hosting requests forum.

if you got excelent tech support, don't even move, because that one day that you need them, they will have the answers for you.

cough up the extra cash, from what your saying that support is worth double for what you have now.

Right.

What ToastyX and ADEhost said.

The deal you have doesn't sound bad. And, if you're actually getting good service and you're happy; stay put.

150 mb w/ 10 gb transfer is not a bad deal at all.

THat is a very competitive rate, Hosting Matters, a very respectable host which I am currently using is charging about the same. THeir support is very good, and as I had originally looked for services at much lower prices for less features, I was very unsuccessful in finding people I like.

I would suspect that you will have the same difficulty. Once you find people you like, its hard to find better.
