Is anyone familiar with running a dating site? I want to know if there is anything I need to do before I launch a dating site. I dont think I need a licence but do I need any insurance,liability or anything like that.

That is a good question, and I think only a lawyer could really answer it. I mean for example, someone meets someone on your website and ends up dead and the family trys to sue you...

I'm sure it's happened, just something to think about.

A business plan would be a good start. A dating site is no different to any other commercial service site. You should at least have some terms and conditions to cover your backside.

You might want to think about putting some well written articles/advice on the site to help people with any issues they may have/face.
