Was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me.
Over the last couple of months I havent sold many hosting accounts but have been doing many completely managed service packages.
Ie:
For companys who want me to design/script upload and control every aspect of their site. So I control the site for them, now these are taking up more of my time, but are generating more revenue.
Has anyone else came across this?

Being that we focus on business class hosting, I know exactly what you mean. Many of our clients can barely turn on their computer, let alone upload a website, add email accounts, etc. Keep at it. After all, would you rather have 10 clients paying $10 per month, or 4 clients paying $25 per month?

If you have the patience for this and like the work, then keep at it. Just make sure you charge enough - your time is valuable and going to be your bottleneck here.

Well I need to sit down and work out a pricing plan for all this, because with the last few projects I havnt realy had a pricing structure to work from.

This is a very lucrative market to tap into. For example, we offer IT consulting services to local businesses, so now we have them on a monthly contract including so many hours of onsite/phone service/support for their computer needs. We also build/built their small business networks, as well as provide email/website hosting, and web development.
So we have a monthly consulting contract with them for $XXX/mo, built their network at $90/hr to the tune of $XX,XXX (including hardware/software), host their website for $XX/mo, which we developed for $XXXX (also at $90/hr). And in more cases now, we make a recurring commission off sales from their websites as well, so once we get sales to the targeted level, we'll be making $XXXX/mo off of their website as well.

We also have a brand that does 'fully managed" services to small and medium sized businesses. It's a very lucrative market.
I agree with Jay Suds.. be sure you are charging for your time. Most businesses have a budget for this stuff, and you want to grab a slice of it!
