Can anyone recommend some good books on this subject? I want to learn it from scratch, but have no clue where to begin.
Thanks,

Thanks, biosphere pearhost 05-12-2002, 02:11 PM You will find many resources here http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Books/ alpha 05-12-2002, 02:44 PM i skimmed through the Beginning PHP4 book - looked pretty good, but had already bought Professional PHP Programming before. Wrox is known to have good reading/learning material g'luck ;) diederik 05-12-2002, 03:46 PM I bought 'Build your own database driven website' by Kevin Yank. Really a great book. Check it out @ www.sitepoint.com/books Mondeo 05-13-2002, 05:53 PM I got SAMS "PHP and MySQL Web Development by Luke Welling and Laura Thomson". Fantastic book with loads of sample code in the book and on the CD - very useful resouce. It is rated as intermediate to advanced but if you have some programming experience (even in Basic) then it is at the right level. ISBN: 0-672-31784-2 biosphere 05-13-2002, 06:06 PM Thank you all! I'm going to the bookstore tomorrow to see if I can find any of these. Would be nice to find one that gives some clues as to how I can use PHP/MySQL together with Flash. Anyway, thanks biosphere MKelso 05-13-2002, 10:20 PM I read books online at http://safari.oreilly.com which is subscription based, and have found it a worthwhile resource. |
