Is there a way to track visitors that come to my site? I have online shop and want to see where the visitors are going, what they're looking at, and if they're getting as far as the shopping cart. My webhost is HostGator, and I have cPanel with some tools like Awstats and Webalizer. How do I see what my customers are doing in my store? And where is a good place to learn how to use these tools?

I don't need to do it in real-time. I just want to be able to go back and look at what customers over the past day have done on the site.

Awstats works just fine for that then. You can also try tools like Google Analytics.
we use webanaliser pro from web-script.com
not free but work really great, you can know the most visited pages on your site, where your visitors come from....

Simply visit HotScripts.com and search for "free visitor tracking scripts". There are a lot of free tracking scripts listed in their directory.
Or, use CraftySyntax Live (free and powerful)
Best of luck!

Thanks. I installed CraftySyntax, and I'm trying to figure out how to use that or awstats for my purpose.
Does anyone know where I can get a Google Analytics invitation code? Is there a spooler around or does anyone have one they can give me?

I'm currently using Google Analytics, but current users are not allowed to invite new users as they are with GMail. Instead you have to sign up on a waiting liste here: http://www.google.com/analytics/sign_up.html
But I would definitely say that it is worth the wait.
