What is the difference between "Reseller" and "Shared" hosting?

Reseller is someone who "resell" hosting service. Shared hosting means that the hosting is "shared" with other sites on a server. They are not opposite of each other.(if that's why you asked).

I posted this same question in the Reseller Forum prior to putting it here. I got no response in the Reseller Forum. So with the reseller I can still split up the space and sell it as I choose?

most likely because you submitted the same post in two different forums ;)

anyways, there are two different types of reseller accounts:

1) Package-By-Package

Basically means that you buy a shared hosting account with the ability to sell the hosts hosting packages - the host *should* provide a lower price to their resellers compared to how much they actually sell the shared hosting accounts to... You pay for your reseller account plus the number of other hosting accounts you purchased from the host.

2) Bulk-Package

You get a relatively higher number of bandwidth/space and you can sell this in any way you prefer. You pay one flat fee per payment period unless you go over your limits.

Come on, you posted there only an hour before; you can't expect people to reply in that short amount of time.

Go back to your question: I am not sure what you mean by "with reseller". If you are a reseller, you are reselling "shared hosting"(or sometimes other service). Depending on your host's reseller program, they may allow you split the space and transfer, or they may only allow you to sell plans.
