View Full Version : Netrillium & Nocster woes. Any suggestions?

The scenario:

My dedicated server at Nocster has been down for a few hours. I opened a trouble ticket with them requesting a reboot (more often then not this does the trick).

Nocster responds telling me I need to contact my reseller to find out why the server is down. --- Needless to say this indicates to me it is not a hung server...

I open a ticket at Netrillium requesting information as to why my server is down.

I verified that payment was auto-magically sent (I am slightly paranoid by nature <grin>).

Hours later and still no email/trouble ticket reply from Netrillium. No phone number on their site so I am unable to conatct them that way. (sigh)

I suppose this post is more of a rant since there is nothing anyone can do, but I am in deep pain since I checked my backups and I have been somewhat remiss in completing them. The last I have locally saved (plenty on the server itself!) is from 27 December. (groan!!)

Anyway, I guess I need to find a new home for my sites. Joy. The idea of moving them all. (groan AND gasp!) After years of having my own dedicated server I think this time I will go with a resellers account. Any suggestions? SSH for the reseller account holder and individual IP addresses for the websites are probably my greatest initial concern.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

There lot Datacenter offer good server and Better support then 3th person. Geting reseller is not going to fix issue for you, since your Not boss of server. I would say look for VPS, It about $30 to $40. you will get Full root access and lot more.

If the reseller is not paying Nocster, why not just ask Nocster to make you their customer directly? Then you would be able to move things easily.
