Hey everyone,

I've started to accept eGold payments however I was wondering how I go about turning it into $$ that I can put back into my hosting company. From what I've read I have to use a 3rd party processor. Is this correct? If it is, which 3rd party has the best service with the lowest fees that is easy to use?

Does anyone here use eGold? If so, how do you get money out of your account?

Also, how are people paying me in eGold? How do I get money into my account?

I would very careful.

99 percent of these EGold exchangers are scams.

To avoid dodgy clients and dodgy transactions, I would avoid EGold at all costs. And I mean this from my past experience.

Stick to the big guns such as 2Checkout and Paypal if you have to use a third party processor. You don't need any more.

I'm using egold in my hosting biz. Nothing wrong with it so far.
One thing that I like is no charge back. Plus, I have local exchanger over here ;)

After reading about how many disreputable exchangers there are, we decided not to accept egold. We'd prefer not to risk our money without good reason, since there are plenty of risks already in providing hosting.

I would suggest you to find local exchanger. I am from Estonia and so I use http://www.icegold.com , I have used them only like 3 or 4 times and every time I have got my money from bank to E-Gold or E-Gold to bank in less than 24 hours (usually only 1 - 2 hours), but they may not be so good for you.

I don't understand what makes this service up to now? They didn't even spent some money to update their site, for years!

Because they are reliable. FYI, my local exchanger that have been around since 1999 got around 10K transaction per day.

I don't understand. Because they're reliable, then they should stick into the same site for years?

I believe Omnipay is owned by the same people who run e-gold, so it seems it would be as reputable as e-gold is itself. I've used them in the past several times with success. The only issues I have seen is they recently switched to a bank in Estonia in December 2005, and the wire transfers to the US now take about a little over a week to complete.

I am not sure, but I guess they don't.

Wow! That long. And I thought that we had the best banking network in the world. BTW do you know if they are using Hansapank or SEB Eesti Ühispank? [Hansapank is bigger and makes me feel more like home (my name is Hans:) ), but I have accounts in both banks]. We have also some smaller banks like Sampo, Nordea and many more, but not many use them.

Why is it so difficult to find an egold exchanger? I mean if there is a reputable company who a few have used, shouldn't it be known and the word be spread that they are good? It's not like it's illegal or anything, so why is it so difficult to find legit exchangers? Just curious I have no experience with egold.

Im kind of like you I needed to do some egold exchanges and I couldnt find a place then someone told me about talkgold.com
check out the forum there is a place there where you can get your money changed, but if your changing your money with someone check out their exchange reviews then only do the exchange with someone who has good reviews from other customers. Really I found no other place to do the changes

icegold.com, thebullionexchange.com and londongoldexchange.com are the best. Icegold is the fastest I have ever seen, wires can be sent out the same day and it your bank the next morning :-D
