Reading some of the post in the lounge the past few days got me to thinking..
Dangerous thing when I get to thinking, does WHT need a feed back system kind of like Ebay?
Someone hires someone to do a design and leaves a short one line feed back, a sale of a license or someone buys a license quick little fast pay etc. And then under the memebers name a feed back score.
Might stop some of our more (how shall I say it), quick buck members from gainig a foothold here.

Great idea. Difficult to implement, because you'd ONLY want legitimate buyers and sellers to post once, etc.. so there's need to be some definate controls in place to prevent abuse.
But ya... great idea.
Well I take what you are saying, and there are some newbies that are good but I always postcount was a semi-decent method of working out how good someone was, or at least how reliable they are

You can get a higher postcount just by posting into the advertising forums every few days.
:)
But having a higher postcount is different then being a trustworthy and experienced buyer or seller.

Research is the best tool into avoiding the possible troublesome element. Search here and google for their details before handing over money. Friends of scammers could easily give good feedback for a cut of the loot :s It all comes down to "buyer beware". Do some homework before you trust anyone with online transactions.

Techark, it sounds like you're talking about the vB reputation system, which involves assigning points positively or negatively based on experience, accompanied by an explanation for those points. It's been discussed on WHT at great length, and the conclusion has generally been that such a system will be abused heavily, more than it will do anyone any good.

I have no idea about the VB system.
I am refering to something like ebay does.
You cannot leave feedback unless you do a transaction with someone so it is hard to abuse it.
Then the question becomes how do you set up the transaction only feedback if WHT is not involved in the transaction? Guess you can't unless a mod verifies the transaction then that leaves more work for the mods. :uzi:
I am just tossing idea's out for discussion and thinking out loud. Who knows maybe someone has a light blub moment and cures cancer while reading this.

We would need to have moderators dedicated to nothing but sales/auctions verification. Not it! :D
