View Full Version : DNS problem?

In a reseller account, I have all the sites working fine. I can point to them in my browser by domain name, and I can access mail and ftp by name. All except for one domain. The domain name is eyesontraffic.com. The only way I can access this site, or its mail, or its ftp is by IP address. And I am not able to ping or tracert either.

Can anyone tell me what the problem could be? The only thing that was suggested to me so far was that I might have to try rebuilding a dns zone file that may be corrupt.

Any help would be appreciated.

Vito

Thanks for your reply.
Well, now I'm really confused. I'm located in Canada and I can't get to the site by name at all. When I called my registrar register.com to ask them about it, they couldn't reach the site either, and they're in New York. So it can't just be my computer.

Any wisdom out there to shed light on this??

Hmm. Finally after 24+ hours I'm able to point to the site again. I wish I knew what caused that...

As was said by someone - "DNS is a weird animal" :)
